Raised in southern Alberta. Tim Isberg is a singer-songwriter and veteran soldier, serving in both Rwanda to Afghanistan. Tim is a storyteller and multi award nominee who brings well-crafted songs to the stage and an array of life experiences that he shares with his audience. Tim's new project ”Prairie Fire” is a history based album and show of original songs based on events and people of the late 19th century Canadian prairies. Tim songs highlight places, characters, and legends such as Jerry Potts, the Northwest Mounted Police and his hometown of Fort MacLeod.  This is part of Fort Macleod's 150th anniversary celebration.

SHAKESPEARE: Twelfth Night - July 5th, 7:00 PM

It’s a summer tradition at the Empress. This year the Lethbridge Shakespeare Performance Society bring Twelfth Night. Twelfth Night, or What You Will is a romantic comedy by William Shakespeare, believed to have been written around 1601–1602 as a Twelfth Night entertainment for the close of the Christmas season. The play centres on the twins Viola and Sebastian, who are separated in a shipwreck. Viola, dresses as a boy and works for the Duke Orsino, whom she falls in love with. Orsino is in love with the Countess Olivia, and sends Viola to court her for him, but Olivia falls for Viola instead.

Campers will find, build, make, and invent their own puppet – find its voice and character and show it off!  Kids will learn many new things in this half-day camp and have fun too.  They will be able to take their puppet home and keep it forever.

Young adventurers embark on a thrilling journey through the magical realm of storytelling!  Designed for imaginative minds, our camp is the ultimate destination for budding artists and performers.  Campers will work as a group to write a short children’s storybook that they will perform at end of the week.  Each day is filled with exciting crafts where campers craft props, costumes, and scenery to enhance their storytelling adventure.  Students will also leave camp with a copy of a group-created storybook that tells the story of their performance.  Every day at Storytellers camp is a new chapter waiting to unfold.

Performance will be Friday at 1:00 p.m.  $50
